(UN) Deserving?
We stayed in a temporary segregated island-like kingdom
Of course, there were rulers, and
Crowning moments
Every now and then, where
Medals, mentioned names,
And crowns which were most popular to only a few but
The few had driven-passionate hearts.
The crowns, three in all, each bigger than the other
Were encrusted with jewels.

The smaller crowns had always shone brighter than the largest.
The owner of the largest crown had been its owner
For quite a few crowning moments
Apparently, to the people,
The owner was unpopular and
His rep(utation),
Fell short of his crown’s

At every crowning moments
I am reminded
That the crowns’ shine is affected by that of the
People
And their opinions
Which I damned greatly
At the crowning moments,
I heard applause, two pair of exhausted, wrinkled hands I heard very mildly
Clapping, though there the kingdom
Had a few tens’ pairs to spare.
I see ‘em applauding
Not for me,
As I gave myself
Compliments and comfort silently,
I wept in all
MY
crowning glory
I looked at the smaller crowns which shone
So much more brighter than mine.

There was once a moment I saw the
Large tiara, shine in all its glory,
Not in a mirror reflection
But on the crown of a rising rebel.
Who cheered in all
HIS
crowning glory
